Don't just run with your legs, run with your heart!

Thank you for participating in the 2^nd annual Steve's Encore Run/Walk. 

This event is in memory of Stephen C. Hintz, loving husband, father, uncle, grandpa, brother, son, teacher, pastor and friend who passed away in September 2006 following a heart attack. An encore is “an extra or repeated performance.”  By holding this event, we are repeating the run that Steve loved so much.

We dedicate this event to his memory and encourage everyone to keep their hearts healthy through exercise and their minds strong through education.

To this end, proceeds from the race will be split between supporting heart health and education.

Event Information:

• Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course at UW-Parkside Campus, Somers, Wisconsin
• Registration before July 18, 2008 is $15 per person or $50 per family (limit 4 people).
• Registration after July 18, 2008 is $18 per person or $65 per family (limit 4)
• Race day registration is from 7:00 to 8:40 am.
• 5K will be begin at 9 a.m.
• 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:05 a.m.
• Registration includes custom designed t-shirt, drawings, goodie bag, and snacks and beverages following the run/walk.
• T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrants after 7/18/08.
• Awards (5K only): 1-3 M-F in each age group
• Age Groups:13 & Under / 14-18 / 19-24 / 25-34 / 35-44 / 45-54 / 55-64 /
  65 & Up

Course Information:

The Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country course's trails are rugged and partially wooded consisting of grass, gravel, wood chips and possibly mud! Challenge yourself to set a personal best on this hilly course-Steve's favorite place to run-or enjoy the fresh air an tree-filled setting during the fun run/walk! The start and finish areas are very close to each other for either race. No pets please!
