BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Kathy Weiland is an alumna of Shoreland Lutheran High School. She started serving at SLHS in 1995. Her call today, consists of student council advisor, JV volleyball, and a leadership group advisor. She teaches Foods, Beginning Sewing, Quilting, Keyboarding/Word Processing, World History, and Health.

Kathy attended Friedens Lutheran School, SLHS for high school, and Dr. Martin Luther College. After marrying her husband Jim she attended Sioux Falls College and Southwest State University to get her MN teaching certificate in education.

Kathy has taught in Crete, IL, Pompano Beach, FL, and Rock County School District in MN. She has taught in grades K-12, long-termed sub for special education classes and grade school gym classes.

Kathy and her husband Jim are members of Friedens in Kenosha, WI. Jim and Kathy were married in 1984 and lived in Luverne, MN for the first 12 years of marriage. They have two children, Amy and Adam. Most of her family are Vikings fans.

Jim is a teacher for the Kenosha Unified School District and an assistant golf manager at Maplecrest Country Club. He enjoys sports of all kinds, but especially golf.

Kathy enjoys shopping, photography, time with family and friends, and traveling.
